Applying filters #

When you find the project you would like to contribute to, and you open the GitHub repository of the project. you will probably don’t know where to begin from.

Head over to the Issues tab

and then, apply some filters to find contribution that would be a good fit for begginers.

Apply the following filters:

  • is:open
  • is:issue
  • label:”good first issue”
  • no:assignee

Finding To-Do’s #

Another way to find issues to contribute to a project, is by navigating to the Projects tab in GitHub, and see what’s in the To do board.
